Sea World 2011

For my niece Claire's Birthday we met my sister and her family in San Antonio for some Sea World fun.

We managed to see each show at least once.

Azul

This show was Jon's favorite when we were here last and he was about 3 years old. He enjoyed almost as much the second time around. We went up and took pictures with the cast.

It was soo hot outside. I think the high was 103, that we ate lunch indoors at an air conditioned restaurant. Claire was having fun hugging on her cousins.

It's always so impressive how they can train such Giants to do such amazing jumps and flips. When watching the dolphins they jump so high and so gracefully. Watching a Killer Whale perform the same feat is just somehow more majestic and powerful.

This is Luke and I at the seal show for the second time. It was fun seeing it twice, because the second time around the animals were not cooperating as well as the first. It was kind of like watching the blooper version.

The seals behind the boys are the leopard seals.

You can tell we were getting pretty hot at this point.

Another thing that we did not capture was the swarms of bees. They were everywhere and we even found one floating in our drink. They were as thirsty and hot as us.

A neighbor told us we had to feed the dolphins. I think it was a good $5 investment to get the chance to pet a dolphin. I would recommend you try it if you ever find yourself at Sea World.

Robert did not touch the Dolphins he was too busy taking the pictures.

We took another opportunity to get out of the sun and visited the aquarium with sharks and all kinds of fish.

You can't visit Sea World with out getting a picture with Shamu.

We had such a good time we were there open to close. We finished the night with a special Seal show that took you on a tour of the park. The finale was Shamu Rocks. The new baby Shamu was even there to try splashing. It was so cute out there in the middle of the pool trying to splash hard enough to reach us.
