Spring Break

This is how we spent our spring break. I have only loaded the last day of our trip, because I haven't gotten the pictures off of our other camera yet. They will have to be spring break part 2.
We have all been looking foreword to this trip. The boys have been counting down the days for the last two weeks.
Our first day was supposed to be a full day of Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The day turned out disappointing at first. We woke up to pouring down rain. We did a quick bit of research and came up with a few alternative plans for the day. We started by going to Cabellas just 20 miles south of Austin. Then we made a short trip to the outlet mall and checkout just a couple of stores. By the time we were finished shopping it had stopped raining. The sky was still dark and we were not sure whether the rain was stopped for good. We decided to take our chances and head over to Six Flags anyway. It was only a mile from our hotel so we could just go to the hotel and start swimming in the indoor pool, if the rain was not over. We arrived at Six Flags around 2 and didn't have any more rain the rest of the time at the park. The rain actually did us a favor, because ever line was really short. We only waited for 10-15 minutes before each ride.
Day 2 was San Antonio Zoo.. We were planning on meeting Aunt Liz, Uncle Tony, and Claire at 10am. I think everyone else in San Antonio had the same idea. We waited 30 minutes in line waiting to buy tickets to get in. It was pretty congested the whole day, but managed to see the whole zoo in about 4 1/2 hours. The boys had a great time, and this was Claire's first trip to a zoo. Her favorites were the fish. Jon spent his time carrying the map and helping us know where we were headed next. His favorite was the hyena. Luke liked the sloth. He told me that it put on a show for us. (First he let go of the branch with his hands and hung by his feet. Then he raised his arm slowly like a ballerina. ) Those were Luke's words.
It was a fun trip. We were certainly exhausted by the time we got home. I am so glad we went ahead and didn't let the rain ruin our fun.
Enjoy the Pictures of the Zoo!
